Dino Diaconescu is an internationally renowned glassmaker and sculptor and a member of the Fine Arts Union of Romania.
The 16th century style is one of his main sources of inspiration and his favorite glass working techniques include hot glass sculpture, fusing and thermal glass work, sandblasting/polishing and Murano techniques.
Due to his extraordinary talent, constantly acclaimed in national competitions where he always won one of the two top prizes, he is deemed to be one of the greatest Romanian glassware artists.
Among his many partnerships and collaborations, we note fellow artists Scott Slagerman (USA), Pedro Velaso (Portugal) and art designer Stefano Poletti (Italy), the NAQO studio in Paris, and Madame Francoise Cortese, an Italian glass master from Murano.
In 1996, Dino returned to Romania and opened his own glass studio. A couple of years later, he was invited by Dennis Simmermann to attend and demonstrate his artwork at the European Centre of Research and Development of Art Glass in France.
Presently, Dino Diaconescu is residing and working in France and his works are shown and sold internationally in Germany, France, Holland, Brazil, Italy, Japan, Switzerland and the United States.
